CROSS BREEDING THE BROWN SWISS COW
is the way of the future .
There have been some great reports from farmers who have used the brown Swiss Semen over their herds. They have found they have a bigger calves born out of the jersey cows and she spat it out with out any trouble. The Friesian breeders found they had a smaller calf than the Holstein but the weight gain for the beef calf was the same. Their colour was dark chocolate out of the Friesian cow and a grey sliver out of the Jersey cow. We are waiting on the feed back on the production increase of the Brown Swiss cross cows. We did this years ago ourselves but now it is time for the Dairy farmers of New Zealand to know there is a Breed of cow out there that is capable of doing the production and lasting the distance.
